Treatment of Myofascial Pain Syndrome with the Help of Semi- Automatic Analgesic Device

Myofascial pain syndrome is one of the most common reasons for patients to consult a neurologist.
Many factors can cause it, ranging from mechanical injury or overexertion of muscles and fascia
to emotional and mental stress. The main methods of treatment are drug therapy and physical
therapy, which in most cases is not very effective. If we consider alternative methods of treatment,
then often the primary care physician does not possess additional skills for dealing with this pain
syndrome sufficient for its rapid resolution, which leads to prolongation of temporary disability and
chronicity of the pain syndrome. Taking this into account, the article describes a new method of
treatment of myofascial pain syndrome with the use of a semi-automatic analgesic device – 01 and
a clinical example confirming its effectiveness. This method will expand the arsenal of the primary
care physician in the fight against myofascial pain syndrome, which will significantly reduce the
period of temporary disability and the patient’s return to their normal social activity.
